Install Song in Hymns as an app

Song in Hymns can be added to your device like an app from the App Store. Once installed you get:

• A home screen icon — open it without going through your browser
• A full screen — no address bar or browser buttons
• Offline reading — pages you have already opened stay available without a connection

Choose your device:

📱 iPhone or iPad 🤖 Android 💻 Windows 🍎 Mac 🐧 Linux

📱 iPhone or iPad

Use Safari — on iPhone and iPad, only the Share menu can add an app to your home screen.

1. Open songinhymns.com in Safari
2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up)
3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
4. Tap Add

The icon appears on your home screen.

🤖 Android

1. Open songinhymns.com in Chrome
2. Tap the ⋮ menu (top right)
3. Tap Add to Home screen or Install app
4. Tap Install

Firefox works too: ⋮ menu → Add to Home screen.

💻 Windows

1. Open songinhymns.com in Edge or Chrome
2. Click the install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar (a small screen with a downward arrow)
3. Click Install

The app opens in its own window and is added to your Start Menu.

If you do not see the icon, open the ⋯ or ⋮ menu and look for Apps → Install this site as an app.

🍎 Mac

Safari: open the site, then choose File → Add to Dock.

Chrome: open the site, click the install icon in the address bar, then click Install.

🐧 Linux

Use Chrome or Chromium:

1. Open songinhymns.com
2. Click the install icon in the address bar, or open the ⋮ menu and choose Cast, save and share → Install page as app
3. Click Install

Firefox on Linux cannot install web apps; use it as a normal website, or install Chrome for the app version.

Troubleshooting

I cannot find the install button. Make sure the page has finished loading, and that you are using Safari on iPhone or iPad, or Chrome or Edge elsewhere. Private or incognito windows do not offer installation.

The app shows old pages or broken links. Delete the app and install it again.

Where did it go? On a phone, look on your home screen or search for Song in Hymns. On Windows, check the Start Menu. On Mac, check the Dock, Launchpad, or Applications.
