Install Song in Hymns on your device
Song in Hymns can be installed on your device, just like downloading an app from the App Store. Once installed, you can have quick acess from your device and access pages you have already visited even without being connected to the internet.

📱 iPhone & iPad
Using Safari (Recommended)
Step 1: Open Safari and visit songinhymns.com
Step 2: Look at the bottom of your screen. Tap the up arrow button (Share button)
Step 3: Scroll down in the menu that appears and tap “Add to Home Screen”
Step 4: You’ll see a screen where you can rename the app. Just tap “Add” in the top right
Done! You’ll now see the Song in Hymns app on your home screen, just like other apps.
Or Using Chrome
Step 1: Open Chrome and go to songinhymns.com
Step 2: Look at the top right of the URL bar. You’ll see an “Install App” button or install icon
Step 3: Click or tap “Install App”
Step 4: Confirm the installation
Done! The app is now on your home screen.
🤖 Android Phone or Tablet
Using Chrome (The easiest way)
Step 1: Open Chrome and go to songinhymns.com
Step 2: Look at the top right corner. Tap the three dots (⋯) - this is the menu
Step 3: Tap “Install app” or “Add to Home Screen”.
Step 4: Confirm by tapping “Install”
Done! The app is now on your home screen. Tap it anytime to use it.
Or Using Firefox
Step 1: Open Firefox and visit songinhymns.com
Step 2: Tap the three dots (⋯) at the top right
Step 3: Tap “Add to Home Screen”
Step 4: Confirm the name and tap “Add”
Done! The app is now on your home screen.
💻 Windows Computer
Using Microsoft Edge (Built into Windows)
Step 1: Open Microsoft Edge and visit songinhymns.com
Step 2: Look at the top right of the address bar. You’ll see a small install icon (it looks like a house with a plus sign)
Step 3: Click on that install icon
Step 4: Click “Install” in the popup that appears
Step 5: The app will open in its own window. You’ll also see it on your desktop and in your Start Menu
Done! You can now open Song in Hymns anytime from your desktop or Start Menu, just like any other app.
Or Using Chrome
Step 1: Open Google Chrome and visit songinhymns.com
Step 2: Look at the top right of the URL bar. You’ll see an “Install App” button or install icon

🍎 Mac Computer
Using Safari (The easiest way)
Step 1: Open Safari and visit songinhymns.com
Step 2: Click “File” at the top of your screen
Step 3: Click “Add to Dock”
Step 4: Song in Hymns will appear in your Dock (at the bottom of your screen)
Done! You can now click the app in your Dock to open it anytime.
Or Using Chrome
Step 1: Open Google Chrome and visit songinhymns.com
Step 2: Look at the top right of the URL bar. You’ll see an “Install App” button or install icon
Step 3: Click “Install App” or the install icon
Step 4: Click “Create” to confirm
Done! A shortcut will appear on your desktop or in Applications folder.
🐧 Linux Computer
Using Chrome
Step 1: Open Google Chrome and visit songinhymns.com
Step 2: Click the menu (⋯) at the top right
Step 3: Click “Create shortcut”
Step 4: Choose where you want the shortcut (desktop or applications menu) and click “Create”
Done! The app will appear in your chosen location.
Or Using Firefox
Step 1: Open Firefox and visit songinhymns.com
Step 2: Right-click anywhere on the page (except links)
Step 3: Select “Create Application Shortcut”
Step 4: Choose where you want the shortcut and click “Create”
Done! The app shortcut is now ready to use.
🎉 What Happens After You Install?
Once you install Song in Hymns as an app, you get:
✅ Quick access - Open the website like any other app, no browser needed
✅ Go Full screen - No browser bars to distract from the hymns and Bible
✅ Saves visited pages - The app remembers pages you’ve visited so they load faster even if you are offline
Troubleshooting
“I can’t find the install button”
iPhone/iPad: Make sure you’re using Safari and the page is fully loaded. Try closing Safari and reopening the app again.
Android: Make sure you’re using Chrome. The install option may be in a different location depending on your version of Android and Chrome.
Windows: Make sure you’re using Microsoft Edge or Chrome. The install button should be located to the right of the address bar.
Mac: Make sure you’re using Safari or Chrome. The install button should be located to the right of the address bar.
“The app won’t open, I see broken links, or links don’t work after I installed the app”
Try deleting the app and installing it again. This should fix any problems.
“I can’t find where it’s installed?”
iPhone/iPad: Look on your home screen. Swipe left to find all your apps.
Android: Look on your home screen or in your app drawer or do a search for ‘Song in Hymns’.
Windows: Look on your desktop or search for it in your Start Menu.
Mac: Look in your dock, search using Command+Spacebar, or click the Finder app and go to ‘/Users/USERNAME/Applications/Chrome Apps’
