O, kota kecil Betlehem, betapa kau senyap!
Bintang di langit gemerlap, melihat kau lelap;
Namun di suatu lorong, Bersinar T’rang kekal;
Pengharapan s’gala zaman terwujudlah kini.
Lahir dari dara Maria, Kristus Putra allah.
Tatkala semua terlalp, m’laikat menjaga-Nya.
Bintang fajar b’ritakan kelahiran kudus,
Kemuliaan bagi Allah, damai ’tuk manusia.
Dalam kesunyian turunlah karunia ilahi,
dan tercurah dalam hati s’mua berkat sorgawi.
Dunia dalam dosa tak dengar datang-Nya.
Ke dalam hati yang lembut, Kristus ‘kan masuklah.
O, Anak Kudus Betlehem, marilah turunlah,
Buangkan dosa dan masuklah dalam hati kami!
Dengarlah kidung m’laikat, bawa kabar suka.
O tinggalah serta kami, Tuhan Imanuel!

一. 美哉小城小伯利恒 ,
你是何等清靜 !
無夢無驚 ,深深睡著 ,
群星悄然進行 ;
在你漆黑的街衢 ,
永遠的光照啟 ,
萬世希望眾生憂驚 ,
今宵集中於祢 .
二. 因馬利亞誕生聖嬰,
天上眾軍齊集,
世界眾生, 酣睡正深,
天軍虔 敬守更;
晨星啊同來頌揚,
同來禮拜虔誠 !

O little town of Betlehem,
How still we see thee lie!
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
The silent stars go by;
Yet in thy dark streets shinneth The everlasting Light;
The hopes and fears of all the years Are met in thee tonight.
For Christ is born of Mary, And gathered all above,
While mortals sleep, the angels keep Their watch of wond’ring love.
O morning stars, together proclaim the Holy birth,
And praises sing to God, the King, And peace to men on earth.
How silently, how silently The wondrous gift is giv’n!
So God imparts to human hearts The blessings of His heav’n.
No ear may hear His coming, But in this world of sin,
Where meek souls will receive Him still,
The dear Christ enters in.
O holy Child of Bethlehem,
Descend to us, we pray;
Cast out our sin, and enter in,
Be born in us today.
We hear the Christmas angels
The great glad tidings tell.
